Holiday Gifts for Dogs

The holiday season has officially arrived! It isn’t always easy finding the right gifts for your loved ones. We may not be of much help choosing presents for your best friend, but we can definitely help you pick some for your dog! Here, a Murrieta, CA vet lists some holiday gifts for Fido.

A new bed is a great gift for dogs! Even if Fido already has a good bed, there’s no reason he won’t enjoy another one. Orthopedic beds are great options for older pups. Smaller pooches may prefer beds with raised sides.

Does Fido need to work on his petiquette? Sign him up for obedience classes. This is definitely a gift that will keep on giving!

Pet Fountain

Does your four-legged friend tend to slurp up all the water in his bowl at once? Get your canine friend an automated waterer, or a pet fountain.

Toys are good for your pooch, both mentally and physically. Fido may enjoy a classic doggy toy, such as a rope toy. Or, get him something more modern, like an automatic ball launcher.

Do you have a yard for your canine pal to patrol? Give Fido his own doghouse! Choose something that’s well-insulated, so it will protect your furry buddy from the weather. You’ll also want to raise the doghouse off the ground a bit.

Pet Massage

Many dogs enjoy a soothing massage just as much as people do. This is a great gift for older pooches, especially those with bone/joint disorders.

Dental Products

Your furry friend’s oral health is very important! Offer Fido some dental chew sticks. Put a little doggy toothpaste on them for extra cleaning power.

Pupscription Box

Subscription boxes are becoming very popular, and it isn’t hard to see why. Getting a box of surprise goodies every month is great! Why not sign Fido up for one of his own? You’ll also get to enjoy watching him get excited when he gets his doggy mail every month!

If Fido could make a list of his favorite things, we’re pretty sure treats would be on top. Store-bought treats are fine, but you can also make your pet’s snacks. You’ll find lots of great recipes online. Just stick to ingredients that you know are safe for dogs.

Happy Holidays! Please contact us, your Murrieta, CA vet clinic, anytime. We’re here to help!
